Sharon Tapping

I started dancing at the age of ten and I knew at once that this was what I wanted to do. I found it so much fun and enabled me to meet so many people from different backgrounds. I have made many friends over the years, both teachers and pupils.

I trained at The Roy and Dorothy Moxon School of Dancing in Derby and completed all my medals in Latin American, Ballroom and Old Time Dancing with The National Association of Teachers of Dancing and The Imperial Society Teachers of Dancing.

I went on to take my teachers exams in theory and demonstration and qualified as a teacher in 1985 in both Ballroom and Latin American.

After taking some years out to have my two boys I am glad to be back on the dance floor and will hopefully be there for many years to come. I have known Diane for over 20 years and enjoy taking many classes with her and it is a pleasure to be working together again.

My favourite dance is the Jive and Rock n Roll.
